Fusion Neutronics Meeting

It is our pleasure to announce a Fusion Neutronics Meeting to be held at the Knoxville Convention Centre, 701 Henley Street, Knoxville, Tennessee in January 2023, organized by Oak Ridge National Laboratory

January 24th to 26th, 2023

Fusion Neutronics

In response to the National Academy of Science’s recommendation [1] for a Fusion Power Plant by 2040 there is a need to grow the fusion neutronics community. In the next 1-2 years a Fusion Pilot Plant design activity will emerge and over the longer term there will be the need to continue to expand the program to support the design and assessment of various fusion power plant proposals. To plan this activity, a white paper will be prepared on policies for fusion neutronics in an accelerated program of power plant construction and work force development. This white paper would be distributed to attendees with the second announcement and feedback will be gathered at the meeting.
